Thomas von Hennet is VP International Co-Production & Documentaries at ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland, a major German media group based in Munich. Having studied history and political science, he began his media career as a freelance producer and AD for television productions. In 1994, Thomas joined ProSieben Television as Commissioning Executive for Documentaries, becoming Head of Documentaries in 2000, with a growing focus on factual co-productions. In 2007, the remit was extended to include drama co-productions. In his current position, Thomas von Hennet oversees international drama and factual co-productions across the channels SAT.1, ProSieben and kabel eins, as well as documentary license acquisitions for the channels of ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland. Recent factual co-productions: Superstorm (2007), Comet Impact (2008), Moonshot (2009), Atlantis: End of a World, Birth of a Legend (2011), and Inside the Titanic (for 2012).
