Christine Reisen, Commissioning Editor, Specialist Factual Department, ARTE France (France)

Christine Reisen is working as a Senior Commissioning Editor at ARTE France, Issy-les-Moulineaux. She studied Library and Information Sciences in Cologne, Germany, and worked previously for ten years in Germany and France as a librarian and researcher, dealing successively with the communication of economic and gender issues. After post-graduate intercultural studies in Human Resources and Training Management, she started working for public television at the European Cultural Channel, first in the Theme Night Unit, then later with the Specialist Factual Unit. For 18 years she has been co-producing international documentaries—mainly science and natural history—for ARTE France. Film awards include: Prix Europa, Grand Prix Leonardo, Special Jury Prize—International Television Science Program Festival, URTI Monte Carlo, Input.
