An Introduction to Florence and the Medici Family

Donatella Lippi and her colleagues are engaged in the “Medici Project.” Scientific research carried out on the corpses of members of the Medici family, exhumed from their burial sites in the Medici Chapels (Florence, San Lorenzo), is revealing a wealth of knowledge about the lives, the habits and the causes of death of members of this most famous family of the Italian Renaissance.
